Soccer at school and what I'd REALLY like to kick...

So every school has those bleach blondes. Those girls who may or may not actually dye their hair, but it is often blonde. Oh, and they're MEAN. No, I'm not trying to sound like a kindergartener here. No, this isn't as serious as Judy, that obese bully in your class, knocking over your juice box right onto your prized Winnie The Pooh drawing. Ally didn't steal the pretty purple crayon and break it. No, it's not on the same level. Blonde Beachballs just cussed out my friends. No big deal...

First I feel the need to call them out the one place I can, so why don't I introduce you? (This is the part where you groan. You don't want to be introduced to them.)

Lacey- Mimics people, cusses, I'm sure.
Amber- Mimics people, cusses, laughs when teammates push my teammates or push them down. In my opinion, the worst one. Today I was trying to get down the stairs after school let out, but this very...obese kid was next to me and was making it hard to get by, and Amber was one of the many people I unsuccessfully dodged. She basically jerked me away.
Lindsey- Can have a temper, can be agressive.
Chessa- I'm not all that sure she does a lot, but she probably cusses and cheers on her friends' violence.
Chanel- Doesn't really do a lot either, but when my friend told her to f-off, she yelled, "Oh, you're so cool!", which wasn't the reason she had said it at all. Her and her friends were being beachballs.
Mikkala- Was my friend, but that changed today. We were sort of conflicted, as she used to abuse me annoyingly, but I've lost trust in her now. She goes to my church and is in my Sunday school class. She listens to the lessons and understands them. But there are many people like her who are forgetting to do one thing- APPLY IT. Here's that hypocrisy again. Say you're a Godly person, hang out with these people, cuss along with them, anger your science teacher. She hangs around bad people. I confronted her after P.E., and she claimed to have talked to her friends about it. Sure. I guess that's why today she told my friend to f-off. Love your appreciation of the word of God, Mikkala.

Not in their group:
Jessica- Lately I haven't been seeing her as a nice person. The first time her team scored she started screaming 'WHAT? WHAT?' as if someone on our team had made a fifty-dollar bet. But we all stood there confused as to why they cared (we didn't give a toilet seat who won, we were so afraid of the other team). Yesterday, when Rachael told us we couldn't have two goalies, we pointed out that THEY also had two goalies. When they finally took one out, she and Rachael started SHRIEKING at us all to take out one of ours. I don't know why they were so mad. We would have happily agreed. Geez, you'd thing someone had let a thousand bees loose in their pants.
Rachael- Hated her since sixth grade. She used to (and still denies it) treat my friend like dirt, and last year a lot of her friends talked behind her back, saying she did the same to them. Has the shortest temper in the world. When she pointed out that we had two goalies, and you know, all that stuff I said up there about how her team had two goalies, she countered with 'Well it doesn't matter, because the ball is down here. You have to take one out if the ball is by your goal.' (The ball was currently being kicked near our goal.) So basically she claimed that her team was allowed to have two goalies just because the ball wasn't near the goal. She walked away with a look on her face that made me say, 'Oh no, it's about to go down.' Yelled at us with Jessica to take a goalie out because they FINALLY did.

Things that happened:

Popular girl tries to score. Our goalie kicks it before it makes it. She swears. Popular girl nudges and pushes down my teammates, Amber laughs. Popular girls cuss back and forth with my friend, Zoe.

We were going back inside at the end of the period, but I didn't understand what was going on until afterward. The popular girls were yelling at someone, (I didn't know who yet) and she told them to shut up.

"Shut up? Is that the best you've got?"
They started mimicking her.

Zoe yells, "Just leave her alone!"

I say it's pretty decent advice. What good was coming out of what they were doing?

We had closed the door behind us, and people behind us had gotten locked out. My friend went back to help, and so did I. I didn't want to be right behind the popular girls screaming at my friends, and attempting to help people would feel good.

At the end of the period, I was talking to my friend Kylie. Zoe came up behind and hugged her. Her eyes and nose were red, and her hair was a frizzy mess. THIS is how bad it was. Zoe, who was adamant in claiming that she didn't care what they said, was reduced to tears because of them. What MAKES them like this? Why are they so unapproachable? How did Mikkala become friends with them?

I was talking with Kylie. I admitted that on Sunday, I had cut my arm, and she told me that she actually had pills in her drawer. She said she tried not to think about it. We talked about how we hated the thought of cutting our wrists, because of how much it would seem to hurt. Every time I even think of my wrist, it feels funny. She told me how every time those girls cussed someone out, she thought of how people can be driven to suicide that way. She's absolutely right. People commit suicide because of people like THEM. After they do, the girls would never see a need for change in their attitudes. She grimly told me that a lot of people in high school would be committing suicide. I agreed.

Next time you see a bleachie cussing out a girl, comfort her. I have a friend who is goth, emo, and has attempted drowning herself (and surely much more), a friend that used to cut her self and stills deals with depression, and a friend her nearly took random pills a month ago. And today I found out that Kylie felt the same way as us. She brought up the pills in the drawer thing because I told her about 'N' almost taking the pills. Remember my post on hypocrisy? That 'N'. The three of us struggle with the world. We all lack self-esteem. We're all different. We all have our fears and thoughts of self-harm that we have never shared before. If the rest of the world knew what they were doing to my friends, well, they probably wouldn't let up. A certain trombone player called my friend 'emo'. At the beginning of the year, we were purposely sitting in the spot where he and his friends sat the previous year. Out of anger, he just yelled it and walked along with his friends. She's not even emo or goth, she just dresses as if she could be. You know what's funny? Her sister is my depressed, formerly-emo friend. You really can't judge people and throw around things like that. A few days later, in jazz band, the trombone player was telling a seventh grade trumpet player how I didn't like him. I said, 'You called my friend emo!" Naturally, he smiled and used it as proof that I hated him. Didn't take it seriously at all. Never takes anything seriously.

So, the world can be a terrible place. Just remember, you don't always know who's hurting.
